GODSPELL Auditions

Audition Information

The Actors’ Attic announces auditions for GODSPELL, directed by Zachary Thompson.

AUDITION DATES:
Saturday February 21, 10am – 12pm and Tuesday February 24, 6pm – 8pm. CALLBACKS if needed, will be by invitation only.

Rehearsals start in early March, show will run for six performances May 1 – 9.

All auditions, rehearsals, and performances will be held at The Village Actors’ Theatre (VAT): 425 Louisa Ave, Dupo IL 62239.

Auditioners will be asked to prepare one of the provided monologues and 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show (musical theatre or folk/pop/rock), with a strong emphasis on character and storytelling. Please bring a headshot and resume. Feel free to bring/show any instruments, special talents, or skills. The weirder, the better!

Those cast will be expected to approach the production and material with a playful spirit. Think more Sesame Street does the New Testament than The Passion of the Christ. Ideally, some actors will double as musicians vy preference will be given to those who can play any of the following instruments:
Trumpet, ukulele, basic drumming, slide whistle, piano, guitar. Or to those who possess any of the following skills: beat boxing, break dancing, magic tricks, gymnastics, impressions, improv, physical comedy, stunts, accents. Show us your wildest!
