Crossing Guard; Part Time, Split Shift, Normally

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to ensure the safety of children and pedestrians at designated crossing locations. This part-time position requires a commitment to working split shifts, typically totaling 2 hours per day during peak school hours. (9 month position) The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe environment for students as they travel to and from school.

• Direct traffic and ensure the safe crossing of pedestrians at designated crosswalks.
• Monitor and enforce traffic laws to promote safety for students and other pedestrians.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and drivers to ensure a clear understanding of crossing procedures.
• Remain vigilant and attentive during crossing duties, watching for potential hazards.
• Report any incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate authorities.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing crossing duties in various weather conditions.
• Availability to work split shifts during school start and dismissal times.
