Customer Service Rep
TPC Deere Run is a par‑71, 7,256‑yard championship golf course located in the Quad Cities region of Silvis, Illinois, and is the home of the PGA TOUR’s annual John Deere Classic. This role offers an opportunity to join the golf shop team.
Qualifications- High school education or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of general business practices and retail sales practices and procedures, typically acquired through 1‑2 years of similar experience.
- Previous customer experience required.
- Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and Guests with their golfing needs, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
- Greet and welcome Members and Guests in a professional, courteous manner.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with Members, Guests and fellow staff.
- Answer telephones to schedule starting times, update the online reservation system, and communicate reservation information.
- Email and telephone Members/Guests to verify advance reservations.
- Advise guests of any abnormal golf course conditions and coordinate with local hotels/resorts about course conditions.
- Operate and close the point‑of‑sale system according to the Club Operations Manual, handling cash, making accurate change, recording credit cards, gift certificates and Member charges.
- Collect green fees, car fees and other income.
- Assist with physical inventories and daily cleaning of the golf shop, maintaining cleanliness and appearance.
- Maintain merchandise displays, ensuring par stock inventory levels and appearance that meet or exceed PGA TOUR standards.
- Professionally sell merchandise, becoming fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques.
- Anticipate member and guest needs and offer appropriate merchandise alternatives.
- Assist with all closing procedures for the Golf Shop.
- Communicate up‑to‑date information accurately via radio communications to course areas (Caddie master, outside operations, maintenance, etc.).
- Assist with special projects or other duties as assigned.
Pay: $15.00 per hour.

This role operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. Occasionally, the employee may lift or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, depth, color, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Compliance with safety and health regulations is essential.
Responsibilities may evolve over time.
Travel is not expected for this position.
