We are seeking a driven and experienced Controller to become a key member of our executive leadership team and help guide the financial future of our organization.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands‑on financial leader to make a meaningful impact. The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering closely with executive leadership to support smart, informed decision‑making. This role will lead accounting processes, manage audits, and champion process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and long‑term success.

  • Lead and manage the accounting department processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger functions
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GMP
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning
  • Utilize and manage financial software and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Implement process improvements and automation to streamline accounting operations
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for business growth
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
  • Collaborate with operations and other stakeholders to review financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct subcontractor prequalification reviews
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior and executive management
  • Mentor and develop front office staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Desired Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Quick Books)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in the agriculture or construction industry is considered a bonus
Benefits and Compensation

Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k) with Company Match, Paid Holidays, and Paid Time Off

Anticipated starting salary range: $90,000–$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation may exceed this range for the right candidate and includes a generous bonus program.

Ideally, this position will work out of our LeRoy, Illinois office, however hybrid or remote options may be available for the right candidate.
