Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer

About your role
- Support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the bank's AML/CFT framework (in particular, AML Act, § 25h KWG)
- Act as deputy to the MLRO and represent the function internally and externally when required
- Monitor compliance with applicable AML/CFT laws, regulations, and supervisory requirements
- Review and assess suspicious activity reports (SARs) and support decision-making on regulatory filings
- Oversee customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring processes
- Advise business units on AML/CFT-related matters, including high-risk customers, products, and transactions
- Support the assessment and mitigation of money laundering and terrorist financing risks
- Contribute to AML risk assessments, policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Coordinate with Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and relevant control functions
- Support regulatory audits, inspections, and interactions with supervisory authorities
- Contribute to AML/CFT training and awareness programs across the bank
- Involvement in the new product process
- Submit suspicious activity reports to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as well as filing criminal charges
- Point of contact and coordinator for internal and external auditors regarding their audit areas related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and criminal activities
- Regular and situation-related reporting, particularly to the responsible member of the management board and if applicable to the statutory supervisory body of the management.
About you
- Several years of professional experience in AML/CFT, Compliance, or Financial Crime within a banking or financial services environment
- Sound knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and supervisory expectations
- Experience in setting up monitoring systems
- Experience in reviewing suspicious transactions and SARs is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of integrity and discretion
- Structured, independent, and risk-aware working style
- Fluent in German and good English skills
