Position: SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Scott Air Force Base

Duties DUTY 1:
Administers the Information Security Program protecting the enterprise from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to enterprise mission interests, national defense or national security. DUTY 2:
Directs the personnel security program to ensure secure accomplishment of the enterprise's missions, goals and objectives through proactive application of security principles, policies, and practices. DUTY 3:
Provides enterprise and subordinate organizations worldwide with authoritative guidance on aspects concerning physical security programs for the protection of classified national security information, both Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral information. DUTY 4:
Manages the Industrial Security Program. Provides effective guidance, training, and direction to subordinate assigned organizations/activities/units on industrial security program matters. Requirements Conditions of employment

* All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays. Qualifications This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level.

The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. REQUIRED:

Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of a wide range of advanced concepts, principles and practices in security administration and intelligence, and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments, and to guide the work of other specialists or comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures.

Serves as the authoritative source to the Wing CC/CV for all information protection disciplines.
