Duties
* Develop position descriptions per OPM classification standards.
* Conduct evaluations through review of regular/recurring and special reports.
* Issue classification evaluation decisions.
* Provide guidance in the area of classification.
* Responsibility for adjudication of classification appeals for all ARTRANS employees.
* Participate in formal and informal discussions with operating officials.
* Conduct studies in areas identified for special analysis. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
* This position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes : (1) Applying OPM Classification Standards to accurately classify positions; (2) Managing and issuing classification evaluation decisions in compliance with established guidelines; (3) Analyzing position management and organizational structures to ensure efficiency and alignment with mission objectives; (4) Delivering training and providing oversight to classification staff and managers to maintain consistency and adherence to policies.

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
