Job DescriptionHelp
Analyzes procurement directives to determine method of contract (sealed bid/negotiated) most suitable contract type (utilities, FFP, CPAF, CPIF, CPFF, FPI, indefinite delivery, letter, and requirements).
Prepares solicitation/amendment documents, incorporating provisions such as cost accounting standards, cost or pricing data, special testing requirements, Government-furnished property, and payment provisions as required.
Closes out contracts or terminates contracts for default or convenience.
Reviews and negotiates settlement proposals.
Conducts pre-bid conference and assists prospective bidders/offerors in technical and contractual understanding during solicitation phase.
Coordinates contract documents and obtains signature prior to award.
Personally monitors contractor's performance through discussions, correspondence, reports, and periodic visits to the work site for status of performance, scheduling of delivery requirements or changes.
Advises the Contracting Officer and other Government personnel regarding the contractor's compliance with contract requirements and recommends alternatives available for effecting corrective actions.
