Position: LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Scott Air Force Base

Duties
* Assist the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO) with planning, organizing and implementing the Installation Deployment and Base Support and Expeditionary (BAS&E) Site Plans.
* Manages and administers the Installation Support Agreements Program.
* Manages and monitors the Wing War Reserve Material (WRM) Program.
* Assists the IDO with Contingency Planning. Determines capability of the wing to support contingency taskings. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall for contingency or expeditionary support.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include:
Comprehensive knowledge of logistics management operations that involve wing-level planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, support agreement and war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, and logistics command and control. Work requires considerable skill in applying and integrating this knowledge to plan and accomplish a variety of complex work assignments and or to identify, analyze, and resolve logistics management issues or problems.

- In-depth knowledge of Integrated Deployment Systems (IDS) which include logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module(LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), AEF UTC Reporting Tool).

- Broad knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and precedents affecting deployment, base support, support agreement and war reserve material plans and programs. OR

EDUCATION:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

You must submit a copy of your transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE:

Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
* Knowledge of logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, support agreement and war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, and logistics command and control.
* Knowledge of Integrated Deployment Systems (IDS) which include logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), AEF UTC Reporting Tool).
* Skill in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting logistics readiness factors, and formulating procedural solutions to problems.
* Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program.
