Location: Scott Air Force Base
Duties
* Brief senior leaders on complex military personnel policies and upcoming personnel actions to ensure clear understanding and informed decision making.
* Present analysis of manning and strength data to command leadership, clarifying key issues and responding to questions to support operational planning.
* Draft operating procedures and directives for the military training program.
* Advise on new or revised military personnel directives explaining the impacts to command and staff.
* Review military manning documents to verify accuracy of coding of grades and specialties.
* Verify personnel data entered into military HR systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Advise leaders on changes to military personnel programs to support informed decision making.
* Respond to inquiries pertaining to personnel action processes with accurate guidance.
* Prioritize reviews of military personnel actions to meet command deadlines.
* Set daily goals to finish personnel tasks on schedule. Requirements Conditions of employment

Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) applying military personnel policies to support officer and enlisted actions; (2) using military HR systems such as IPPS A, NSIPS, AFIPPS, or legacy systems to input and verify personnel data; (3) Reviewing new personnel or manpower requirements and provide recommendations to leadership; and (4) preparing clear written guidance or analyses to support command decisions.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional information
