Role Description

The Esthetician at Occult Aesthetics will provide professional skin care and related services that complement the clinic’s holistic approach to emotional and physical well‑being. This part‑time, on‑site role includes performing peels, advanced skin treatments, microneedling, and hair restoration services, while maintaining a safe, hygienic, and calming environment. Day‑to‑day responsibilities involve conducting client consultations, recommending appropriate skin care regimens, and educating clients about products and services aligned with their needs.

The Esthetician will collaborate with clinical staff to support a cohesive client experience, contribute to retail product sales, and accurately document services provided. Consistent, client‑centered care and clear communication are essential in this role.

• Candidates should possess strong Skin Care and Cosmetology skills, including knowledge of facial treatments, product ingredients, and basic skin conditions.
• Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and the ability to work with clients managing complex emotional and mental health needs.
• Candidates should possess foundational Sales skills, including the ability to recommend appropriate services and retail products in a respectful, client‑centered manner.
• State esthetician license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) and adherence to all regulatory and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary mental health environment and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort engaging clients in vulnerable or emotionally challenging states.
• Previous experience in a spa, medical spa, dermatology, or integrative health setting is preferred
