Immediate openings for Night Shift CNAs
Earn up to $26/hour + extra pay for nights and weekends. 3x12-hour shifts per week.
Journey Care Hospice is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for our Inpatient Unit in Barrington, IL.This is a night shift role with a consistent, predictable schedule and competitive hourly pay.
Pay and Schedule- Base pay:
Up to $26/hour - based on experience - $1.25/hour for weekday nights
- $2.50/hour for weekend nights
- Schedule:
3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) - Includes every other weekend and 3 holidays per year
- Certified by the state as a nurse aide
- Maintains a current CPR Certification
- List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients
- 18 years of age or older unless state law dictates otherwise
- Valid driver’s license with insured automobile in accordance with state requirements or reliable transportation preferred
3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) including every other weekend and 3 holidays per year.

- The CNA works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for patients to meet their personal comfort needs at the unit.
- The CNA observes the patient, reports these observations, and documents observations and care performed.
- Provides personal care needs, attends to patient requests promptly.
- Meets safety needs of patient and uses equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.).
- Provides personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens as often as assigned.
- Reports on patient’s condition and significant changes. Also aware of the caregiver or other individuals visiting with the patient and interpersonal issues.
- Adheres to the organization’s documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
