Environmental Services: Floor Tech

Under general supervision, clean and maintain all floors (hard and carpeted) and upholstered surfaces throughout MHA facilities. Perform routine cleaning/maintenance of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, hallways, and entryways. Use cleaning chemicals and supplies according to established procedures. Support EVS Aides when applicable.

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization while reflecting the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all tasks.
• Clean andmaintaincarpeted and hard floors, including using equipment to clean, extract, strip, and wax floors on a rotating basis.
• Perform routine and terminal cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors, ensuring a clean, neat, and sanitary environment.
• Use andmaintaincleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies according to procedures, while replenishing supplies as needed.
• Transport trash, hazardous waste, and soiled linens to the appropriate disposal or storage areas and prepare linens for contract pickup.
• Follow infection control practices, including hand washing, standard precautions, and isolation precautions, while adhering to set quality and safety standards etc.
• Always introduce yourself to patients, families, and visitors, andassistwith directions when requested.
• Report safety hazards, apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions, and ensure safety precautions areobservedat all times.
• Adheretoperformance metrics and baselines.
• Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives,maintain good employee relations, and support interdepartmental goals.
• Complete work assignments in a timely mannerand independently with minimal supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Leadership and ensure Service Excellence Initiatives are met.

• High school graduate or equivalent and similar field experience.

Wage Range: $16.00/hour – $17.00/hour
