Traveling Registrar/Nurse Assistant - GROWHOURS & SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:
Part time (possible becoming full time). 1st & 3rd Thursday and 2nd Tuesday of the month is the initial schedule with a goal of 4 days (Monday – Thursday) weekly…8 am – 5 pm DEPARTMENT: TRAVELING MOBILE UNIT/GIBSON RECOVERY OPTIMIZING WELLNESS, #10 DOCTORS PARK, GIBSON CITY, IL 60936
GENERAL SUMMARY The Traveling Registrar/Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant is a clinical professional staff member who performs duties of a registrar as well as duties to obtain clinical information/data, clinical CLIA waived lab testing, and testing on medical equipment necessary for medical services. Greets, ascertains needs, instructs, directs, and schedules patients and visitors. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff.
Provides staff support to the Physician and Mid-level practitioner. Collects information from the patients for entry into computer system for use by the physicians, mid-level practitioner, other staff, and billing. May also be required to work in clinic office setting or hospital setting at times when mobile unit clinic is not traveling.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Checks equipment at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure it is in a state of operational readiness.
2. Cleans and sanitizes exam rooms, arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion. Cleans and sanitizes bathroom, nursing station, and all other mobile clinic areas with germicidal commercial grade cleaning solutions and procedures.
3. Dry dusts and wet mops as appropriate to all floored areas.
4. Replenishes supplies of hand soap, hand sanitizer, deodorizers in dispensers and paper products.
5. Vacuums all carpeted areas in mobile unit.
6. Documents on cleaning chart each time mobile unit is cleaned each day mobile unit is in use. Completed cleaning charts are placed in binder and kept on mobile unit for 3 years.
7. Notifies Manager of any necessary repairs needed.
8. Meets scheduled attendance as needed.
9. Confidentiality is to be maintained at all times.
10. Responsible for opening up mobile clinic at time of arrival of destination or prior to arrival and closing mobile unit at end of day or after last patient has left the mobile unit on or after 4 pm. Opening includes: turning on any office equipment, turn off night message for phones at 9am to allow calls to go thru if applicable, unlock cash drawer if applicable, make sure mobile unit is in neat & orderly manner before open.
Closing includes: turn on night message for phones after 4pm, counting money in cash drawer and locking cash drawer if applicalbe, taking any money collected throughout the day and placing in a deposit bag and putting deposit bag in managers mailbox at GROW office location, placing any mail and any completed fee tickets in manager’s mailbox at GROW office location, turning off all applicable lights, and making sure everything including mobile unit is locked prior to leaving for the day.
11. Ensures all locks on cabinets in traveling mobile unit with authorized access to are unlocked at beginning of office hours and are locked after office closing hours and after last patient has left.
12. Courteously answers multi-line telephone if applicable and directs calls to appropriate party or takes accurate message. If applicable then, required use of multiple phone functions including placing calls on hold, paging system, and message system.
13. Courteously greets visitors and directs appropriately on to assess needs.
14. Checks-in all patients using our new Meditech electronic records system. Verifies insurance coverage, patient addresses, phone numbers, and co-pays and money owed on all patient accounts. Photo proof of identity & insurance card is to be presented at each patient visit. Verify Health Care of Family Services (HFS) for those who have IL Medicaid as coverage using insurance verification web-site MEDI or Onesource.
