CNA nights

Position: CNA - Full-time, nights
Location: Danforth

Under the general supervision of a nurse, the CNA provides direct patient care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Carry out and assist residents in ADL’s2. Follow plan of care as outlined in residents individual care plan
3. Document plan of care as required; vitals, weights, I&O, etc. as outlined by the nursing department
4. Practice proper infection control protocols
5. Documentation is completed timely and accurate
6. Keep residents’ room clean and free of clutter
7. Provide transportation to activities and meals as required
8. Carry out resident’s individual restorative plans as documented
9. Report all concerns, complaints made by the customer or their family to the appropriate person.
10. Make rounds to assure residents are safe and comfortable
11. Is efficient, minimizes overtime and processes resident charges timely and accurately
12. Maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department
13. Participates in in-service education as required
14. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor, observes dress code policy
15. Demonstrate honesty and integrity, always does the right thing, is open, forthright, genuine, trustworthy and truthful
16. All other duties as assigned Competencies

Education and Experience
1. Successful completion of a state approved CNA training program
2. Active CNA on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry
3. Hold or obtain a valid CPR certification
4. Excellent customer services skills
5. Possess a service orientation
6. Must have the ability to work individually and as team
