Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $1,000.00 - $3,500.00 per course.
Governors State University’s College of Health and Human Services seeks to fill adjunct, faculty positions. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach in a CAHME accredited graduate and AUPHA-certified undergraduate program in health administration as well as specialized courses. Ability to teach in multiple areas of healthcare management; ability to integrate technology into course design; ability to make intellectual contribution through publication/presentation;
and ability to contribute to the University’s commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages are important.
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Health Management, Health Administration, Public Health, Health Policy, health services research; or related discipline and documented work experience at the senior management level in a health services organization.
- Successful teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level.
- Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
- Ability to teach at least one of the areas:
Financial management, Informatics, Accounting, Quality improvement with Lean Six Sigma. - Health care industry experience in health care leadership and Fellow in the American College of Health Care Administrators is a plus.
