Mental Health Therapist Intern

Mentor South Bay, provides Early Intervention, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Behavioral Health and Mental Health Outpatient services across Massachusetts and Connecticut. For over 35 years, we’ve provided a collaborative, team-based approach dedicated to helping children, adults, and families reach their fullest potential.

Hiring for Fall 2026. Locations:
Wakefield, MA. Pay: $15/hour.

• Conduct psychosocial assessments under master’s level supervision and transcribe or dictate relevant information for person served records.
• Provide individual, couple, family and/or group therapies and crisis interventions using various treatment modalities.
• Engage in mental health consultation and collaboration with stakeholders and treatment team members.
• Develop individualized treatment under the supervision of master’s level clinician/supervisor.
• Maintain current, adequate medical record documentation in the electronic medical record of the person being served.
• Attend regular staff meetings, clinical meetings, training, and one-on-one sessions with direct supervisor.

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related degree that will lead to licensure in counseling or marriage and family therapy.
• Completion and proof of a Master’s level practicum.
• Previous experience working with children/adolescents (in a clinical or mental health setting preferred).
• Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
