We are seeking a licensed Cardiovascular Perfusionist to join our cardiac surgical team in western Illinois, serving a tri‑state region across Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa.
Reporting to the Director of Perfusion Services and working closely with the Chief of Cardiac Surgery and Anesthesia leadership, the Perfusionist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, nurses, APPs, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
Responsibilities- Operate cardiopulmonary bypass using a heart–lung machine.
- Manage anticoagulation, hemodilution, and ultrafiltration strategies.
- Perform autotransfusion/cell salvage procedures.
- Conduct intraoperative monitoring with TEG/ROTEM.
- Initiate and manage ECMO and ventricular assist devices.
- Document perfusion data and maintain equipment QA.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and continuous quality improvement.
- Mentor students and support clinical research when interested.
