About the Opportunity

Pana Health & Rehab Center is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Business Office Manager to join our team. This role is essential to the day-to-day success of our business office and works closely with the Nursing Home Administrator and Accounts Receivable Director to support financial operations, billing processes, payroll, and resident accounts.

Your Role
  • Assist with daily business office operations and administrative functions
  • Monitor and process Medicaid pending applications
  • Prepare and submit write-off requests in accordance with collection policies

    Prepare and reconcile daily deposits
  • Assist with accounts payable and payroll functions
  • Help oversee resident accounts and maintain accurate financial records
  • Support compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and VA billing requirements
  • Assist in supervising business office staff and ensuring efficient office operations
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to maintain excellent customer service for residents and families
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Who We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in healthcare business office operations or long-term care preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, and VA billing practices is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining confidentiality
  • A team player who is eager to learn and grow within the organization
