Position Summary

Provides mental health rehabilitation and supports children, adults and families to decrease hospitalization and crisis episodes and to increase community functioning in order for the client to achieve rehabilitative, resiliency and recovery goals. Provides continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participates as a team member in the delivery of mental health services to clients and their families and facilitates the issues of recovery into their daily living situation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling & Guidance, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Vocational Counseling, Pastoral Counseling, Family Therapy, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Must qualify as MHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132.
  • Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC), or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC which supersedes the CADC within 2 years of employment in substance use disorder services.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency required; ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record.
  • Skilled in conducting individual, family, and group counseling.
  • Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources.
  • Self‑starter with ability to work independently; ability to work within a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements; must have own transportation.
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.
Responsibilities
  • Work hours prescribed by the agreement and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
  • Motivate and problem‑solve with staff regarding effective clinical practices.
  • Seek improved performance and problem‑solve while meeting the complex needs of clients and their families.
  • Adapt verbal and written communication to the language and style of the client and their family.
  • Complete all necessary documentation within the appropriate time frames.
  • Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
  • Maintain client service records consistent with rules and regulations.
  • Maintain communications with all staff (e.g., admissions, process, and discharge plans).
  • Coordinate services from a variety of community resources.
  • Utilize a variety of treatment concepts, evidence‑based practices and service modalities when providing care.
  • Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups as needed.
  • Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation as required.
  • Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  • Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional Code of Ethics and within the framework of the law.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  • Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
  • Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.
  • Perform CLIA‑waived laboratory testing and related quality control activities in accordance with CLIA requirements, manufacturer instructions, infection control protocols, and organizational procedures.
Schedule
  • Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5:00 pm.
Work Location

Onsite – Rosecrance Galena Office.

Compensation & Rewards

Starting Pay: $50,835.20. Pay is based on education, experience, and credentials.
