SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for coordination, development, marketing, organization, and management of assigned program areas, and clinical supervision and/or direct supervision of staff and interns/practicum students as assigned. Assists in assuring compliance with standards, regulations, and laws. Provides and promotes outstanding internal and external customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to clinicians and interns/practicum students to assure quality of services.
  • Assist with training new staff and interns/practicum students.
  • Make necessary decisions in the absence of Clinical Manager to assure program continuity.
  • Act in consultation with other Managers and Director as needed.
  • Provide outpatient counseling services utilizing evidence-based methodologies to provide excellent clinical services.
  • Prepare for and conduct individual, group, and family therapy for assigned caseload.
  • Assist clients in developing individualized, person‑centered, family‑centered, and service‑centered treatment plans.
  • Monitor client progress in treatment and participate in treatment plan reviews as assigned.
  • Update treatment plans as appropriate and submit them at all stages for medical review, if applicable.
  • Conduct intake for clients entering services: explain services, gather required information, ensure forms are understood, obtain signatures, and submit materials.
  • Conduct assessments and write assessment summaries as assigned.
  • Assist clients with linkages to internal and external resources as outlined in treatment plans and in coordination with Integrated Healthcare Services.
  • Maintain appropriate contact with referral sources, providing information on client progress, behavior, and needs (with appropriate releases), and maintain ongoing consultation when appropriate.
  • Assist clients in making discharge plans and provide follow‑up services as assigned.
  • Attend staff meetings, clinical staffings, and other internal meetings as assigned.
  • Participate on committees as assigned, including quality assurance functions.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with other employees and work as an effective member of the treatment team.
  • Monitor urinalysis, breathalyzer, and other testing as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person, and virtual methods. Skill in team building and problem‑solving. Knowledge of community geographical awareness and of community and agency resources. Knowledge of inpatient treatment resources, including appropriate admission procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education Level: Master’s Degree in Human Services.
  • Years of

    Experience:

    Demonstrated skill in performing clinical services.
  • Certificate/Licensure:
    Clinical License required. Staff must have certification or licensure within the required timeframe mandated by DASA Staff Qualifications (or within 2 years of hire, whichever comes first).
