Location: Wyton

Christie Clinic's department of Family Medicine in Danville is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.

Duties include performance of skills through the delivery of patient care using a systematic patient assessment.

JOB DUTIES:

(This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments prior to appointment. Clean and restock following appointment.

Assist patient to exam room, take vitals, weight and height of patient. Enter information into the electronic medical record.

Maintain and update patient medical record upon visit including allergies, medications, etc. and enter into the electronic medical record.

Flag appropriate room for provider to see patient.

Assist with procedures during appointment.

Review online transcription prior to patient appointment and update during appointment as necessary.

Maintain relevant office supplies for department effectiveness.

Answer phones and schedule labs, tests, and appointments, as needed.

Obtain prior authorizations for procedures, medications, testing, etc.

Perform refrigeration/supplies monitoring and replenishment.

Perform related work as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous health care experience

Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate and/or graduation from an accredited program for medical assistants preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:

CPR Certification TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting. (amount varies by department). Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a clinical office with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment. Requirements may include working irregular hours

PAY AND BENEFITS:

The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
