PRN | Weekday Evening Shift
- Monday–Friday
- 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- No regularly scheduled weekend shifts
- Holiday coverage may be required based on department needs
- Position may provide support to the Medical-Surgical floor as needed
- Starting wage of $18 per hour

- Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and initial assessments
- Prepare patients for exams, procedures, or diagnostic tests
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as wound care, splinting, or EKGs, as trained
- Assist on the hospital floor with patient care, answer call lights, phones, assist patients with basic cares, etc.
- Specimen collection including urine, stool, and sputum
- Act as a backup for the CNA staff and cover breaks
- Transport patients to and from the ER, imaging, or other departments
- Restock supplies and maintain clean, organized treatment areas
- Assist with equipment setup and maintenance
- Support triage process by gathering patient information and history
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow infection control protocols and standard precautions
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information (HIPAA compliance)
- Report on unsafe conditions or incidents to nursing or supervisory staff
- Work closely with nurses, physicians, and other ER staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Communicate patient needs, changes, and concerns promptly
- Notify Ancillary Staff when needed (Lab, Radiology, Respiratory)
- Provide support and reassurance to patients and families
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) preferred or as required by facility
- 1–2 years of experience in emergency, acute care, or patient care settings preferred
- Previous experience as a nursing assistant, EMT, or clinical technician is advantageous
