Performs a variety of guest service activities in an exceptionally friendly, professional, and efficient manner commensurate with the demands of a world‑class hotel. The Driver provides relevant hotel information, transports guests via shuttle, and coordinates with other departments to satisfy guest requests.

• Welcomes guests to the hotel
• Assists all arriving guests with luggage – coordinates the storage of luggage
• Maintains the cleanliness of luggage storage and bell closet areas at all times
• Assists with the cleaning of hotel’s bell carts on a daily basis
• Maintains the cleanliness and organization of bell stand supplies and materials
• Provides parking information to guests
• Opens hotel entrance door for guests
• Handles guest inquiries professionally and with the utmost courtesy and accuracy
• Provides guests with hotel and surrounding area information and travel directions
• Drives hotel guests to and from the airport and other assigned trips, obeying all traffic rules and regulations consistently to ensure a safe, accident‑free journey
• Assists guests with storing and retrieving their luggage from the hotel shuttle
• Opens shuttle doors to assist guests on and off the hotel shuttle
• Responds to guest questions, issues and problems regarding transportation, hotel services and local events, points of interest and activities
• Maintains the hotel shuttle: gas, oil, cleanliness; fills daily shuttle reports and reports any malfunctions
• Follows and obeys traffic rules & regulations
• Summons taxis for outbound guests and provides information regarding other transportation options
• Becomes familiar with guest names and acknowledges guests by name
• Maintains the cleanliness of the hotel front entrance area, immediately picking up any trash or debris and contacting housekeeping for major cleaning tasks
• Provides detailed information about hotel facilities and operating hours
• Is alert to guests who appear intoxicated and intend to drive a vehicle – notifies security department immediately for assistance
• Assists security in emergency situations when requested
• Ensures that deliveries of hotel supplies and large cargo are made at the loading dock, not through the front door
• Establishes a good working relationship with all hotel departments
• Assists with group deliveries when asked
• Other duties as assigned
• Notifies appropriate individuals fully and completely of all problems and unusual matters of significance
• Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, employees
• Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
• Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
• Executes emergency standards in accordance with hotel standards
• Complies with safety regulations, policies and procedures
• Complies with hotel and department standards, policies, and rules
• Remains current with hotel information and changes
• Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
• Assists bell staff and doorperson when needed

• Excellent communication and guest relations skills
• Excellent knowledge of local area
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds and push a cart weighing up to 150 pounds
• Position requires continual bending, lifting, stooping, and pushing
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to drive all vehicle types – speed shifts, van, limousine, shuttle and automobile
• Ability to drive under extreme road conditions such as rain & snow
• Excellent driving records as verified by the motor vehicle report
• Must have a CDL license with Passenger Endorsement (P)
• Must maintain a clean driving record

The wage for this position is $21.25.
