Job Overview:

The Banquet House Attendant is responsible for the physical set-up and turnovers of all banquet events. They will follow specific Banquet Event Orders to ensure accuracy for the set-up. They will conduct themselves in a manner supporting the company's guiding principles and execute directives from the Banquet Manager to maximize results and guest satisfaction.

The Banquet House Attendant will maintain the cleanliness and eye appeal of the banquet space and assist in maintaining AAA Four Diamond Standards. They will conduct themselves in a manner supporting the company's guiding principles and execute directives from the Banquet Manager to maximize results and guest satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and properly clean and set meeting rooms and banquet functions according to specifications, including vacuuming floors and cleaning walls and windows/mirrors.
  • Care for, move, and store equipment such as tables, chairs, risers, dance floors, and lecterns.
  • Control and store meeting room supplies like linens, pads, pens, and candy.
  • Service meeting rooms by emptying trash, removing dishes and linens, straightening chairs, and replenishing water as needed.
  • Keep service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas clean, organized, and unobstructed.
  • Locate and deliver convention materials upon request, including moving furniture around the casino.
  • Work varying schedules as needed by the hospitality industry, attend all training sessions and meetings.
  • Report problems or damages to Banquet Management promptly.
  • Perform additional duties such as moving furniture and cleaning carpets and chairs.
Job Requirements

(Please ensure you meet these requirements before applying)

  • High School diploma or GED required; currently enrolled students must complete GED within six months.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years or older.
  • Previous hospitality experience required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and BASSET training.
  • Complete Serve Safe Sanitation training.
  • Pass job interview and guest service audition.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand workplace language(s).
  • Ability to maneuver between functions quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to exert physical effort, lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach, and perform cleaning tasks.
  • Good manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Willing to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to travel and participate in training.
  • Must have or obtain an Occupational License under Illinois Gaming Act and stay in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board.
Pay Range
  • $15.00 - $20.63, depending on experience and skills.
  • Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, EAP, paid time off, 401K with match, shift differentials, and bonuses.
