Non-Exempt Position Summary The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, sorting, and distributing hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items to ensure a consistent supply of clean, high-quality linens for guestrooms and hotel operations. This position helps maintain Hampton Inn brand standards by ensuring all laundry is handled efficiently, safely, and with attention to quality and cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

Sort and separate linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items by type, color, and washing requirements.

Wash, dry, fold, press, and prepare linens according to hotel standards.

Inspect laundry for stains, damage, wear, and discoloration.

Maintain adequate inventory of clean linens and towels.

Deliver clean linens and laundry supplies to housekeeping areas.

Keep laundry facilities clean and organized.

Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures.

Report equipment maintenance needs promptly.

Work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous laundry, housekeeping, hotel, or janitorial experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently, maintain attention to detail, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
