Non-Exempt Position Summary The Houseperson is responsible for supporting the Housekeeping Department by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public areas, assisting room attendants, delivering supplies, and ensuring guest and team member needs are met promptly. This position plays a vital role in maintaining Hampton Inn brand standards and creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, meeting spaces, and guest common areas.

Assist Room Attendants by delivering linens, towels, guest supplies, and housekeeping amenities.

Stock housekeeping closets and ensure adequate inventory of supplies.

Remove trash and recyclables from public areas and designated hotel locations.

Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, and perform routine cleaning tasks.

Respond promptly to guest requests in a courteous and professional manner.

Assist with meeting room setup and breakdown as needed.

Clean exterior entrances and maintain curb appeal.

Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items.

Follow all hotel safety, security, and sanitation standards.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, or customer service experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
