Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HR Manager
The Village of Hinsdale is seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our Finance Department. This position is open due to an upcoming retirement and plays a critical role in administering the Village’s comprehensive bi-weekly payroll and employee benefits programs, including IMRF pension reporting, insurance reconciliation, tax reporting, and HR compliance functions. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and serves as a key resource for employees and retirees on payroll and benefit matters.
The salary range for this position is $62,083.36 – $90,267.99 (Pay Grade M104), and we will pay a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications (DOQ) within the posted range. This is a full-time, exempt position offering a full benefits package, including participation in IMRF, medical, dental, and life insurance.
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of three years of progressively responsible payroll or human resources experience, with municipal experience strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of independently managing a full organizational payroll function while maintaining strict confidentiality.
