Pay Rate Low: 65000 | Pay Rate High: 70000

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting daily HR operations and managing accurate, compliant payroll processing. This role ensures the integrity and confidentiality of employee records, supports recruitment and onboarding, maintains compliance with employment laws, and administers full‑cycle payroll and time‑keeping functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee files and HR records, including record retention and compliance documentation.
  • Support recruitment, coordinate background checks and pre‑employment screenings, and assist with onboarding and orientation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, FLSA regulations, and company policies.
  • Track required training, certifications, and employee compliance requirements.
  • Process full‑cycle payroll, including time‑keeping administration, payroll data entry, balancing payroll runs, and verifying reports.
  • Manage payroll changes such as pay adjustments, deductions, direct deposits, tax with holdings, and benefits updates.
  • Ensure payroll tax compliance and coordinate with accounting, payroll providers, and benefits vendors.
  • Respond to employee HR and payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Experience with integrated payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and payroll tax regulations.
  • High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related HR/payroll software.
  • Experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
