Overview

Human Resources Business Partner for the Caterpillar Electrification + Energy Solutions Division supports approximately 800 global employees, aligning HR practices with business goals to support organizational success. You will be a trusted advisor and consultant on HR policies and practices, leading initiatives that foster a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management as a strategic advisor to identify and prioritize HR initiatives aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Align HR policies and programs to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Act as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to management.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by applying change management principles.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching and feedback.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution, inquiries, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Work with global HR partners and process owners.
Qualifications
  • Human Resources Consulting:
    Knowledge of HR approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
  • HR Policies, Standards and Procedures:
    Knowledge of human resource functions; ability to uphold the organization’s and industry’s standards, procedures, and policies regarding human resources management.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
    Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Influencing:
    Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Business Acumen:
    Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes needed for making sound decisions in the company’s context; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Global Perspective:
    Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.
  • Knowledge of Organization:
    Understanding of the organization’s vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to align capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting:
    Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a department or division.
  • Employee Relations:
    Knowledge of the rights and obligations in employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience presenting complex themes to audiences at various levels within an organization.
  • Demonstrated interest in learning and applying AI tools and technologies to improve efficiency, support data-driven decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Extensive experience with analysis and reporting.
  • Outstanding judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Degree or equivalent experience desired.
Location & Work Arrangement

Location:

Mossville, IL. This position requires working in the office five days a week. Domestic relocation is available for qualifying candidates. Sponsorship is not available.
