Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HR Manager, HR Generalist / Talent Management
Location: Virginia
Seeking a dynamic Compensation Manager to oversee executive and corporate compensation for an industry leader.
In this vital role you will lead the design, administration, and analysis of executive and corporate compensation programs. This role is responsible for supporting executive compensation initiatives, overseeing equity plan administration, managing annual merit and incentive cycles, administering the Success Factors compensation module, and maintaining the organization's job architecture and compensation framework.
Partnering closely with Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Payroll, and senior leadership, you will ensure compensation programs remain competitive, compliant, performance-driven, and operationally efficient.
What you will do:
- Support the design, analysis, and administration of executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term incentive plans.
- Prepare analyses, briefing materials, presentations, and supporting documentation for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and external advisors to support preparation of the annual proxy statement, including drafting and analysis for the Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A).
- Assist in developing executive compensation disclosures and supporting schedules.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and governance best practices impacting executive compensation.
- Oversee administration of equity compensation programs, including grants, vesting, exercises, and distributions.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and securities regulations.
- Provide guidance and communications to employees and executives regarding equity compensation programs.
- Lead the Corporate Headquarters annual merit increase and bonus planning processes, including budgeting, modeling, manager guidance, and executive reporting.
- Serve as the system owner for the Success Factors compensation planning module, including configuration, testing, workflow management, reporting, and end-user support.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and IT to ensure system integrity and successful implementation of enhancements.
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking analyses to maintain competitive compensation structures.
- Support the design and administration of company-wide incentive and recognition programs.
- Develop, maintain, and update job descriptions for corporate roles to reflect organizational needs and market alignment.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to ensure accurate role definitions and appropriate job leveling.
- Maintain job architecture, salary structures, and internal equity frameworks.
- Perform compensation modeling, cost analyses, and scenario planning.
- Develop reports and presentations to support executive leadership and Compensation Committee decision-making.
- Maintain data integrity across HRIS, equity administration, and compensation systems.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compensation programs comply with applicable federal, state, and international regulations.
- Support internal and external audits related to compensation and equity administration.
- Maintain documentation, governance processes, and audit-ready records.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six or more years of progressive compensation experience, preferably including executive compensation and equity administration.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Equity Professional (CEP), or similar certification.
Experience administering Success Factors compensation planning modules or comparable HRIS platforms.
Experience preparing Compensation Committee materials and supporting proxy disclosures, including CD&A drafting and analysis.
Knowledge of executive compensation regulations, equity plan administration, and corporate governance best practices
