Location: Scott Air Force Base
Human Resources Specialist (Military)
Duties As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) at the GS-0201-9 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Develop and employ program objectives and procedures which center on the recognition of outstanding performance by military personnel assigned to USTRANSCOM and its subordinate commands.
- Coordinate and assist with essential military personnel activities related to joint liaison matters, joint personnel policy administration, execution of obligatory joint actions, and joint fiscal matters.
- Assist TCJ1-M service branches with providing guidance to USTRANSCOM executive leadership, directors, and subordinate commands regarding military promotion and selection policy, procedures, and outcomes. Responsible for promotion and selection data analysis and the preparation of strategic messages for distribution to senior leadership in a joint environment.
- Assist Military Service Branches with Strength Management and Joint Assignment activities for Active and Reserve Component military members assigned to USTRANSCOM.

Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-9, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service:
- Plan, organize, and direct military personnel programs to include joint military personnel decorations, awards, special trophies, and recognition programs.
- Establish metrics to ensure military recognition actions are timely and reviewed at critical points.
- Assist with tracking fiscal requirements across all division branches for supplies, training, and travel.
