Position: Healthcare Operations Manager - Contract Hub
Location: Bannockburn

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, execution-focused Healthcare Operations Manager to join our North America Health Solutions Operations team. This hybrid role can be worked from our Bannockburn, IL or Chicago, IL office with flexibility for virtual candidates located in the Midwest.

This position is central to building and executing a new end-to-end contract lifecycle process that directly supports our client-facing consulting teams and Account Executives. Unlike traditional management roles, this position requires direct involvement in operational execution—from drafting contracts to building reports in Power BI and developing advanced Excel models.

About Aon

Aon is in the business of better decisions. At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like
  • Contract Execution & Technical Operations
    • Draft, revise, and execute client contracts—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business goals.
    • Build and maintain sophisticated Excel models (e.g., nested Pivot Tables, dynamic dashboards) to support contract analysis and reporting.
    • Develop and manage Power BI dashboards to track contract lifecycle metrics and operational KPIs.
  • Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Lead contract lifecycle initiatives from planning through execution.
    • Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and data privacy teams to resolve contract-related issues and ensure timely approvals.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Maintain a robust contract tracking system and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
    • Conduct audits and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Process Optimization
    • Continuously improve workflows using automation, analytics, and best practices to reduce cycle times and enhance efficiency.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Team Enablement
    • Train and support offshore and onshore team members on contract execution processes and tools.
    • Ensure every team member contributes to execution—not just oversight.

Please note we do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 5+ years in a commercially focused operations role, ideally in healthcare or employee benefits.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and executing contracts is a huge plus—not just managing contract processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas, data modeling), and SharePoint.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with financial analysis and operational risk assessment.
