Enterprise Field Tools ManagerThe Enterprise Field Tools Manager is responsible for acting as the liaison between Business Stakeholders, BTS, Training, OEC, Legal, APEX COE, and Therapeutic Area In-field and In-house teams to oversee the design, deployment, training, communications, and management of field force tools (CRM, reporting dashboards, etc.) across Abb Vie’s Enterprise teams.
Responsibilities- SME and key point of contact for infield and in-house business unit leadership as needed.
- Support onboarding of new teams and new hires/transfers into existing teams.
- Lead coordinated efforts with Therapeutic Areas and Infield Leadership for infield team effectiveness initiatives to improve strategic execution.
- Design, test, and deploy ongoing field tool releases and enhancements.
- Coordinate across Therapeutic Areas, BTS, OEC and Legal to ensure business requirements are well defined and approved; develop project plans for systems and business deployment steps, and coordinate deployment with HQ operations and Infield Leadership.
- Develop and maintain business rules and ensure functional requirements documents are updated and correct for use by BTS to ensure impactful system updates are deployed accurately and efficiently.
- Proactively engage with Therapeutic Area Leaders, inhouse Leadership, and field users to provide system enhancement/business process recommendations.
- Provide Level 2 support for Help Desk Cases and root cause analysis and investigation of system-related issues.
- Create processes and documentation to provide strong technical support for field tools application users; manage knowledge base for the Field Helpdesk.
- Lead cross‑functional leadership across FPAT, Field Operations, Training and Commercial BTS to roll out projects on scope and on time.
- Develop project plans that integrate and align with cross‑departmental processes and other projects; provide innovative solutions to overcome project hurdles.
- Act as a resource to provide innovative solutions to mitigate risks, manage competing customer priorities, facilitate contingency plans, maximize cost‑effective resource utilization, and improve field force effectiveness.
- Develop communication and training plans for system enhancements to ensure effective change management.
- Facilitate new hire training (IFTC/AFTC), provide support during field meetings and present system capabilities to key internal stakeholders.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, technical, or health‑related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with specific experience with infield activities, roles, and behaviors focusing on customer and operations.
- 5+ years of experience in developing, deploying, and managing effective IT systems, quality control procedures, and directing complex analytics.
- 5+ years of experience supporting implementation of new technology‑related systems and processes and/or project management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, SharePoint) and advanced Excel features for data analysis (macros, pivot tables, lookup tables).
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and execute innovative, creative solutions.
- Excellent business acumen, understanding of compliance, legal, Med/Reg drivers and guidance.
- Ability to clearly and confidently articulate complex concepts.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in business, IT or science.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, compliance regulations and standards.
- Experience with Veeva/
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products (e.g. CFR 210/211, cGMP).
