Location: Scott Air Force Base
TEKsystems is looking to hire a Network Analyst to support a 24x7 environment at Scott AFB. Our client needs candidates who have experience with the fundamentals of networking (routers/protocols/etc). Secret clearance is required, will be upgraded to a Top Secret. CompTIA Security+ is also required. This team provides all facets of Incident Management supporting Wide Area Network for the program in a 24x7 environment, specifically Layer 2 and Layer 3 support.
Responsible for remote monitoring and management of the WAN utilizing client provided tools. Document network outages, hazardous conditions, site locations, and any type of serve degradation using the TMS Remedy trouble ticketing system.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct network incident investigation.
• Identify and document network errors and solutions.
• Analyze network and telecommunications alarms and identify potential issues.
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers to optimize performance and ensure the desired security posture is attained and maintained.
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, phone systems, including phone units, voicemail, switches, infrastructure, call manager systems, Video Teleconference (VTC) systems video recording/viewing/distribution systems, and related telecommunications trunk circuits.
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices Requirements:
• Active Top Secret clearance (or Secret with ability to be upgraded to Top Secret)
• CompTIA Security+
• 1-6 + years working in IT ie: networking, Cisco routing/switching
• Able to work in a shift work environment - 24/7 environment.
* Shifts:
Day is 7am-3pm, swing is 3pm-11pm, mids 11pm-7am; guaranteed a weekend day off as the schedule is Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday; rotates approximately every 3 months.*
