We are seeking an experienced SOAR engineer to manage system infrastructure and applications. As a SOAR engineer at Booz Allen, you will use your technical skills to affect mission‑forward change, display a strong background in security operations, threat detection, and security engineering, and be responsible for key contributions in developing Threat Defense Solutions focused on detection and automation. In addition, you will strengthen your skills while supporting the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms.
YouHave
- 2+ years of experience building out security automation capabilities based on analyst requirements
- Experience with playbook development using SOAR platforms such as Tines, Palo Alto XSOAR, Splunk Phantom, or Swimlane
- Experience with programming using Python
- Experience with containerization technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman
- Experience integrating solutions via APIs and creating custom apps or integrations
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience with Linux administration
- Experience with threat intelligence solutions such as ThreatQ, OpenCTI, or Analyst1
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with log management platforms such as the Elastic Stack or Splunk
- Experience supporting Defensive Cyber Operations
- Experience with AI integration
- Experience in DoW, Intelligence Community, or other regulated environments
- Knowledge of AI gateway security
- Knowledge of HTML, JS, CSS
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles

Salary range: $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). The range reflects a typical salary for this position and is one component of the total compensation package.
