Dataops Consultant - Oil And Gas

Our office in Stavanger is constantly growing, and as the demand from our customers in the oil and gas industry increases, so does the need for more skilled employees for our Data Ops initiative. Our goal is to be a partner for our customers and help them adopt technology to become more data-driven. This requires proactive consultants who can ensure that relevant data can be collected, trusted, and utilized for both traditional applications and modern analytical solutions.
We are looking for you who:
- Combine an understanding of work processes and domain data within the oil and gas industry with IT technical expertise in data platforms, data transformation, and analytics
- Have expertise within an E&P domain such as Drilling & Wells, Subsurface, Exploration & Reservoir or Production
- Have experience working with digital data, e.g. within Data Governance, Data Management, Data Engineering, Data Analytics
- Have knowledge of modern methodologies and technologies for making data accessible in the form of data products
- Have expertise in modern data platforms, both general (e.g. Microsoft Fabric) and industry-specific (e.g. OSDU and CDF)
- Fluent Norwegian and English, both written and spoken, is also a requirement for our consultants.
It is also an advantage if you:
- Have higher education in information technology and/or a relevant field within energy, petroleum, geophysics, etc.
- Are good with people, cooperate well with both technical and non-technical individuals and are comfortable communicating with stakeholders at various levels
- Are analytical and structured, and have great drive in your work
- Relevant experience from digital initiatives in the oil and gas industry is a big advantage.
