Target Salary Range:$121,000 - $123,000
- This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary
The Information Technology/Information Assurance (IT/IA) Specialist II provides day-to-day support for Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts. This position supports Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities.
Key Responsibilities System Administration and Configuration- Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
- Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems, and system documentation as required.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
- Prepare systems for operational use and support operational testing.
- Perform hardware and software system configuration, upgrades, and modifications.
- Perform system and network appliance patching activities.
- Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.
- Review, prepare, and update authorization packages.
- Notify customers when changes occur that might affect authorization accreditation.
- Conduct cybersecurity portions of self-inspection checklists.
- Review and provide technical and cybersecurity coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that make up authorization packages.
- Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
- Assist in media control and accountability activities.
- Perform COMSEC account and equipment management activities.
- Perform Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system administration, scheduling, and configuration.
- Provide external information system client support.
- Perform account creations, changes, and deletions across multiple authorization boundaries.
- Perform help desk and troubleshooting activities.
- Provide government-issued laptop support.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree and 7 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- 5-7 years of related experience.
- Prior experience in roles such as System/Network Administrator or Information Technology/Assurance Specialist.
- Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP).
- IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Must be willing to obtain a CI Poly.
- Ability to support work within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.
