Duties
* Manage IT project life cycles by planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects to ensure successful system development and implementation.
* Oversee software development using Agile methodologies to optimize system functionality and responsiveness to user needs.
* Evaluate contractor proposals for technical suitability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with acquisition and IT program requirements.
* Analyze IT system designs and software architectures to ensure compatibility, security, and mission effectiveness.
* Develop automated systems and applications by coding, testing, and integrating software solutions to support operational needs.
* Troubleshoot software, network, and system issues by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
* Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges in IT development and implementation.
* Support software modernization efforts by researching emerging IT trends and recommending innovative solutions for system improvements. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

3) Applying software engineering, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity principles to the Agile software development lifecycle; and
