Help shape the learning experience for high school students by supporting accessible communication in an onsite contract opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school environment near Burlington, IL. • Current and valid Illinois Sign Language Interpreter license required
• State and district qualifications, with adherence to any additional requirements
• Experience working within an educational or high-school setting strongly preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and understanding of relevant interpretive practices
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, reliability, and adaptability in a school setting

• Provide interpretation services to high school students during instructional hours
• Accurately and sensitively translate spoken communication into sign language, and vice versa, to support full classroom participation
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students, educators, and families
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and other interpreters to ensure consistency and quality of service
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and code of conduct

Monday through Friday, from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, starting ASAP through May 21, 2027.
