Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Starting hourly pay rate of $15.00 – $17.00, depending on skills and experience.
  • Paid training through live hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
  • Part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 4 and 6.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities Will Include
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department; using technology to communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys.
  • Holiday support:
    Work additional days and extended hours during the work week leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections; typically notified two weeks in advance, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    Support other team members as needed within their territories.
Physical Requirements

This physically demanding job requires sustained energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must be able to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficient in operating a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Part‑time employees with a schedule of less than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits through a benefits provider, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care). Training is paid and includes both live instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
