Buyer​/Planner

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Buyer/Planner – Distribution/Packaging to join their team. This role is critical to ensuring efficient inventory flow, accurate planning, and strong vendor partnerships across a multi-site operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-SKU environment and enjoys balancing purchasing execution with data-driven planning and forecasting.

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities across multiple product categories and locations.
• Analyze inventory levels, demand trends, and forecast requirements to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Own the full purchase order lifecycle, including creation, tracking, and resolution of delays or discrepancies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, and finance teams to align inventory strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating timelines and resolving supply challenges.
• Monitor backorders, expedite critical shipments, and proactively manage supply disruptions.
• Maintain accurate item data, inventory records, and planning parameters.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain efficiency and inventory optimization.
• Utilize Excel tools (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) to analyze data and drive decision-making.

• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, business management, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory planning.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory management and demand forecasting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a distribution or multi‑site environment.
• Background in packaging, industrial distribution, or related industries.

$75,000 - $95,000 + 7% Bonus

2 weeks of vacation, paid sick leave where applicable by state law, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance Vision Insurance, 401K, and Life Insurance.
