Freight Manager

Hire Level is looking for a Freight Manager in Pontoon Beach, IL.

Pontoon Beach, IL

Monday‑Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm (1st Shift)

$50,000+uncapped commission.

• Client Management – build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique shipping needs.
• Carrier Collaboration – identify and partner with reliable carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Shipment Coordination – coordinate LTL shipments, optimizing routes and consolidating shipments to maximize efficiency.
• Documentation and Compliance – prepare accurate documentation, including bills of lading and shipping invoices.
• Problem Resolution – act as a point of contact for clients and carriers, resolving issues such as shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in LTL freight brokering or a related field.
• In‑depth understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Must meet background and drug screening requirements.
