Shipping Coordinator

Butternut Mountain Farm, a family-owned Vermont maple producer, is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to support our growing manufacturing and distribution operations. In this role, you will schedule and process outbound shipments, prepare bills of lading and shipping documents, and coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time delivery of maple products to retail, food service, and ingredient customers. You will verify orders, stage and label pallets, track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and maintain accurate records.

Working closely with production, warehousing, and customer service teams, you'll help uphold our quality, safety, and sustainability standards while supporting a collaborative, values-driven workplace.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily outbound shipments with carriers and freight providers.
• Prepare and verify bills of lading, labels, and other shipping documents for accuracy.
• Stage, label, and audit pallets and orders for correct quantities and packaging.
• Track shipments, communicate status updates, and resolve delivery or carrier issues.
• Collaborate with production, warehousing, and customer service to meet order deadlines.
• Use inventory or ERP systems to process orders and maintain accurate shipping records.
• Support and follow warehouse safety, quality, and food-handling standards.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and general warehouse organization.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, team members, and supervisors regarding shipping priorities.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to increase shipping accuracy and efficiency.
