Job Description Summary
The Warehousing and Internal Logistics Supervisor plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by leading the receipt, storage, movement, and release of materials throughout the facility. This position is responsible for helping ensure materials are accurately received, properly stocked, and delivered where needed to support production safely, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate brings a strong operational mindset, the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment, and a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehousing and internal logistics activities, including receiving, inventory movement, storage, and material release to production.
- Lead and support team members to ensure materials are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Oversee the receipt, classification, stocking, and tracking of incoming goods, including ERP system updates and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain strong control of material flow and storage practices, ensuring clear visibility of inventory and location management.
- Partner with production, supply chain, and cross‑functional teams to ensure timely material availability and operational alignment.
- Resolve day‑to‑day operational issues using established processes and elevate more complex issues as needed.
- Support compliance with standard work, work instructions, and site procedures while driving consistency in execution.
- Monitor team performance and help develop a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate operational priorities clearly and collaborate with stakeholders to address questions, remove barriers, and support business needs.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and inventory performance.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, OR
- Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, OR
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Experience leading teams in a fast‑paced operational setting.
- Strong understanding of material flow, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Experience using ERP systems and managing inventory transactions accurately.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and drive practical solutions.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and build strong working relationships.
- Experience with process improvement, operational execution, and performance management.
- Project management or program execution experience is a plus.
The base pay range for this position is $69,000-$86,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
