Talent Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reviewing and evaluating disability and leave cases based on medical documentation, applicable short term disability plans (Reyes Holdings/Union), and legal regulations, making determinations to approve or deny claims, communicating with employees and their healthcare providers, and managing the overall claims process to ensure timely and accurate decision and benefit payouts while adhering to company policies and compliance standards
- Adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP) for management of disability and leave cases which includes, verifying employee eligibility, obtaining appropriate medical or medical certification to support the disability and or leave case meets compliance to be eligible for benefits and facilitating timely disability payments, if applicable
- Interpret medical reports, diagnosis, and treatment plan to determine extent of employee disability or leave. Collaboration with inhouse Nurse Case Manager for 2nd and 3rd opinions
- Make initial outreach calls to employees to gather pertinent information regarding leave of absence and provide employee with information on the disability/leaves program. This shall also include periodic calls to respond to employee inquiries or obtain additional information from employees
- Disability Case Manager must be compliant with both paid and unpaid federal and state laws which includes being up to date on disability and leave law changes
- Communication and correspondence are required throughout the life of a disability and or leave case. Information contained within correspondence must be correct and must be provided timely in accordance with regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma / General Education Diploma with 1 to 2 plus years of experience

- CPDM Certification
