Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead CNC Programmer Machinist at Ford Tool & Machining LLC, located in Loves Park, IL. The Lead CNC Programmer Machinist will be responsible for developing, testing, and adjusting CNC programs, as well as operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components. Assist the CNC Supervisor in day to day operations and assume responsibilities in their absence.

Key tasks include reading technical drawings, setting up machinery, programming 2 axis - 5 axis, live tool, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring components meet quality standards. The role also involves troubleshooting any machining issues and working closely with the team to optimize manufacturing processes.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CNC Programming and Programming systems for optimal machine operations. Mazatrol experience is a plus!
  • Strong skills in Machining and Milling, including operating and troubleshooting CNC machines
  • Competence in reading and interpreting Technical Drawings for accurate manufacturing
  • Ability to collaborate within a dynamic team environment and adopt a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with quality control measures and familiarity with ISO standards is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical certifications or education highly desirable
