Offset Press Operator Apprentice

Meridian is adding a full-time person to our growing Production Team. As a Press Operator Apprentice, you’ll have the opportunity to learn a highly skilled trade in our modern, state‑of‑the‑art production facility. We will provide hands‑on training to help you grow into a fully skilled Offset Press Operator, responsible for operating the latest, most advanced offset printing equipment to production and quality standards.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn offset printing.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes accurately.
• Comfortable standing for long hours (8 to 10‑hour shifts).
• Ability to lift 10–15 pounds continuously, and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience a plus but not required.

• Learn to operate offset printing equipment under guidance of experienced press operators.
• Assist in reviewing job instructions, preparing materials, and maintaining production logs.
• Learn how to set up, program, and release jobs from the print queue.
• Support inventory management for inks, solutions, paper, and other supplies.
• Participate in routine maintenance and cleaning to ensure machine reliability.
• Develop troubleshooting skills for quality and efficiency.
• Monitor printing processes to maintain color, registration, and print quality.
• Gain knowledge of best practices in offset press operations.
