Production Manager
As a Production Supervisor here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will oversee the production operations within the Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit at our Metropolis, IL location. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality products while maintaining a safe working environment.
You will report directly to our Sr. Chemical Plant Operations Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Metropolis, IL location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the success of Solstice Advanced Materials by leading and developing a team of production operators, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and maximize efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production operators to meet production goals
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Train and develop production staff to maintain a-performing team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives
- Fulfill Emergency Response Team roles
- Life Safety Critical Permit Issuer
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day production operations within the ISC department
- Lead a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and production targets
- Monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of products
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement best practices to optimize production processes
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule
- 5 years of chemical, nuclear, or manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Understanding of federal regulations
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs

COMPENSATIONThe annual base salary range for this position is $86,703K- $108,378K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
