Position Summary Position Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
- Experience in sanitation procedures in a food manufacturing plant is helpful.
- Good English communication skills (reading, writing and verbal) are essential to interface with co‑workers, Team Leaders and Managers.
- Must be willing to work as part of a team; also must be self‑motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move about on foot, bend the body downward and forward by bending at the spine and legs frequently, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and talk or hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Eye, hand, and foot coordination is used continuously with operation of foot and hand controls. The employee will be working in temperatures ranging from freezing to sub‑freezing (coolers, freezers, etc.).
- Disassemble, clean and sanitize production machinery, equipment, tables, bins, pans, utensils and any other items utilized within the production process, using a variety of equipment, including high‑pressure water hoses.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all floors, walls, ceilings, structures, drains, vents, evaporators, light fixtures, etc. within production and support areas.
- Ensure proper care of equipment during the cleaning process, including covering control boxes and critical components to prevent water infiltration, and safe and non‑destructive transportation and storage of equipment and components.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including chemical safety, lockout/tagout, sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP), reporting any unsafe conditions, and immediately reporting any near miss, injury, or accident to Team Leader or Manager.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Sanitation Practices (GSP) as outlined by Ajinomoto Windsor.
- Handle equipment and chemicals in accordance with company, government and safety data sheet guidelines.
- Assist with other sanitation work as needed.
